Pune, March, 2006: —Tata Elxsi today announced the setting up of its development centre in Pune, its first in Pune and the fourth worldwide. . The center, located in Kolte Patel IT Park, was formally inaugurated today by Mr. Prakash S, Technology Group Head for Networking & Communications, Tata Elxsi Limited and Mr. Nitin Pai, Head of Marketing for Product Design Services, Tata Elxsi Limited.
The new Pune center will be a “Center of Excellence” on the lines of the company’s existing global design and development centers in Bangalore, Chennai & Thiruvananthapuram and will assist customers worldwide for product design and development for networking and communications technologies such as VOIP, Wireless LAN, Routing and Switching and embedded networking.
The Center has been set up with full-fledged infrastructure and initial capacity of 100 engineers, targeted for staffing over the next 6-8 months as part of the Phase 1 ramp-up plans.
Tata Elxsi provides leading embedded product design services including hardware and software, for a number of leading global networking, telecom, semiconductor and electronics manufacturers.

This makes a compelling case for locating our new center in Pune.
