- Tata Elxsi Limited today announced the launch of their Chennai Design and Development Center on March 30, 2005. To house 100 people initially, the centre will look at scaling that strength up to 500. The company's total manpower strength is currently around 1,700.
The center will work on wireless communication technologies that form a part of its design and development services division. Chennai will be the third centre after Bangalore and Trivandrum.
Speaking at the press conference, Mr Madhukar Dev, Managing Director, Tata Elxsi Limited said, “ Chennai is increasingly playing an important role in the Information Technology scene today. It has an abundance of talent and infrastructure facilities provided are excellent and we intend to leverage both through our center.”
