 Product Development: MATH Library for DSP processor

The objective was to provide support for designers by creating a library of Math functions to be used in 3G Base stations for a DSP processor. The project involved development of Chip Support Lib of specific assembly code subroutines to be used in configuring peripheral modules. Tata Elxsi with its expertise in ASIC design was able to provide customer with cost effective and quick solution.

Salient Product Features
The math library for DSP processor to suit the mathematical computation for wireless communication - 3G supporting audio, video and data.
The library to contain equations to factor in the infrastructure requirements like bandwidth, processing power (customer specified processor) and frequency range (400 MHz- 1 GHz)


Tata Elxsi Solution Features
Designed and developed various mathematical algorithms to satisfy the computation requirements of base station to be implemented efficiently for 3G-communication protocol.
Optimised the mathematical functions to suit the target processor for the MATH libraries to execute in the core.
Project environment included strong understanding of the mathematical algorithms; understanding of the processor assembly language and knowledge of tools like complier and assembler.
