Pump and Hydro Turbine Design System

Designed and developed an interactive data visualization tool for easy interpretation of flow analysis results obtained through finite differential methods, for a Pump and Hydro turbine design application.

Our client is a leading player in Computer Aided Engineering market.


Salient Product Features
The Pump and Hydro turbine design system has two modules:

Program for Inter-blade Mesh Generator, and
Quasi-3D Analysis Program for performance estimation of Turbo machinery developed by our client.

The product allows users in geometry design of Pump and Hydro turbine components, conduct flow analysis by finite differential method, and modify the geometry based on the results.


Salient Tata Elxsi Solution Features:
Tata Elxsi developed an interactive data visualization tool (including GUIs with Windows look and feel) for both the modules in the product. In addition, Tata Elxsi developed software to support the following important features:

Turbo machinery developed by our client.
Input data editing through dialogs.
Displaying the 2D structured mesh. Move and zoom with the help of a mouse.
Displaying 2D curves like line, arc and spline. Move and zoom all graphic elements using a mouse.
Grid smoothening in both grid mode and control point mode.
