Challenge was to develop a navigation algorithm and employ it for a handy navigation system, which consists of inertial sensors (Accelerometer and Gyros) along with Magnetic Sensors. Modeling of sensors were done and integrated with algorithm. Further we performed hardware in loop tests (sensor hardware interfaced with laptop) using real-time test scenarios.

Algorithm is the core part of inertial navigation and customized algorithm adds value to the deliverables. Compensation algorithm and initialization algorithms help reduce errors even for a system with very low accuracy. The customer has been able to visualize the performance of the inertial measurement unit well ahead in time and it helps them in taking all the necessary steps to improve the performance.
