MP3 decoder supports MPEG1/2 standards for audio compression/decompression.
Audio is sampled at 32, 44.1 or 48Khz at bit-rates from
32 to 384kbit/s. Three layers (layer 1,2,3) are supported
based on the complexity, compression and quality. Layer
3 offers the highest compression for a given audio fidelity
but requires the highest complexity. Tata Elxsi's MP3
Decoder supports all three audio layers.
