LTE UE Protocol Stack

Tata Elxsi offers comprehensive LTE protocol stack for User Equipment (UE), assisting chipset vendors and device manufacturers in accelerating the development of LTE terminal devices.

The UE software architecture has been specially designed for minimized footprint and high performance. The overall architecture is split into control plane and data plane to handle critical and non-time critical operations, meeting the high throughput demands of LTE UE.

The LTE UE solution provides complete software for Layer 2 and Layer 3 compliant to 3GPP Release 8 specification, including MAC, RLC, PDCP, RRC and NAS. It also features optional LTE specific components such as RoHC v1/v2, Snow-3G, AES and Layer 1 algorithms. The solution features comprehensive debug trace and statistical logging capabilities, and the descriptor-based MAC-PHY Interface enables easy adaptation of Tata Elxsi L2/L3 solution to third party L1 implementations.

LTE eNodeB emulator software for testing UE


Tata Elxsi LTE eNodeB emulator provides a low-cost embedded platform for lab use to test the functionality, scalability and performance of LTE UE. It supports L1, L2 and L3 testing, with scripting interface to configure and automate the UE testing. It also provides the ability to emulate multiple eNodeB devices for scalability testing.
