Transition Managers (Consolidation Programs)

We are seeking a program Transition Manager with 6 to 8 years of experience who can contribute to the success & advancement of our projects through their leadership & expertise.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand the program requirements and expectations during transition phases
  • The Program Transition Manager is responsible for overseeing and facilitating the successful transition of large programs and projects within the organization
  • Ensures smooth and efficient handovers, maintains program integrity, and meets stakeholder expectations
  • Develop detailed transition plans, ensuring all aspects of the program are covered and timelines are met
  • Identify potential risks associated with the transition and develop mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transitions, avoiding disruption to ongoing operations
  • Create and maintain comprehensive transition documentation, including transition strategies, processes, and checklists
  • Oversee the training of teams involved in the transition, ensuring they understand new processes and tools
  • Track transition progress, report any issues or delays to stakeholders, and adjust plans as necessary
  • Analyze transition processes post-completion to identify areas for improvement and operational optimization, ensuring smoother future transitions
  • Monitor and manage transition-related expenses to ensure they remain within budgetary constraints
  • Monitor and identify program execution optimization parameters and implementation to margin optimizations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor/Master of Engineering, MCA, with overall experience of 12–15 years
  • Minimum of 6–8 years of experience in program or project management, with a focus on large programs transitions or transformations.

Transition Timeline Adherence Actual vs Planned (95% Adherence on Transition Schedule) 
Number of Major Changes Number of major changes assessed by the CAB (Change Advisory Board)
Number of CAB Meetings Number of CAB (Change Advisory Board) meetings
Time for Change Approval/ Rejection Average time from registering an RFC with Change Management until a decision on the RFC is reached (i.e. until it is either approved or rejected)
Change Acceptance Rate Number of accepted vs. rejected RFCs

Must Have:

  • Proven experience in managing stakeholder relationships
  • Proven experience in successfully executing large and complex multi-geo transition programs
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Familiarity with program management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification is an advantage
  • Strong leadership skills with a collaborative approach

Technical leadership:

  • Good Conflict Resolution skills
  • Project estimation includes effort estimation and infra estimations
  • Has experience in leading multiple teams in deploying different network service delivery platforms and managing them
