Delivery Manager/SDM

We are seeking an experienced candidate for the position of Delivery Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Drive client meetings and status presentations
  • Escalations and reporting to senior management
  • Responsible for service delivery meeting agreed upon SLAs and KPIs for the project
  • Support preparation of RFP responses
  • Training and ramp ups of resources for new opportunities
  • Responsible for project level dependency management, risk management and mitigation actions

Planning & Organization:

  • Build and maintain project plans and milestones in collaboration with the Program and project team 
  • Organize and review detailed planning in collaboration with various Product, Project team and Customers 
  • Ensure the agreed program/project plan is delivered on time, on a budget or subject to only controlled and agreed deviations 
  • Coordinate development between Product, Project, test, or other dependent projects 
  • Lead various teams to define priorities & organize problem-solving with the respective Team Leads 
  • Organize & check project deliveries against agreed acceptance criteria and decide on Go-No go for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) 
  • Act as the key delivery interface with the customer/s and collaborate with them periodically based on specific project needs 
  • Work seamlessly with the delivery and practice teams based in India and other geographies to ensure receipt of right support for local customer needs 
  • Responsible for risk management and mitigation actions
  • Organize and lead program or project review meetings 
  • Manage, monitor, and report budget costs per project 
  • Management of program/project risks, evaluate all risks related to the project and defined mitigation plans 
  • Management of delay: evaluate impact, propose alternatives (in collaboration with product, and project team) 
  • Problem analysis and corrective actions proposal to avoid repetition of such a situation 
  • Produce project reports to stakeholders – Internal and external through specified communication (Meetings, Dashboards) 
  • Early warning notification & escalation, decision process 
  • Ensure that timely and accurate reporting and communication with internal & external stakeholders  
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in Computer Science, Electronics/Electrical Engineering, management
  • 15-17 years of total work experience having worked with engineering service suppliers preferably in the Transportation domain
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Product Engineering preferably in the Automotive domain
  • Proven Experience in Managing Product Engineering ( SW/ HW/SW & HW) projects adhering to Committed Schedules
  • Ability to navigate through challenges and problems and ensure Project deliverables meet the quality expectations and other agreed SLAs with the customer
  • Ability to Proactively identify potential risks and issues and plan for mitigations
  • Participate in Project Meetings with client leadership team and present the Project Metrics
  • Strong presentation skills with ability to communicate with customers, senior management, and project teams

Qualifications:

  • B.E or M.S. in Engineering 
  • Project Management Professional qualification, for example, PRINCE or PMP

  • MBA from reputed institutions preferred.
