Key Responsibilities:

SME-Wi-Fi & Mesh

• Diagnose and resolve complex broadband, Wi-Fi, Mesh, and gateway issues from field and customer environments
• Perform deep field issue analysis including log auditing, pattern identification, and defect isolation
• Drive root-cause analysis across layers (PHY/MAC to application) for stability and performance issues
• Collaborate with field ops and support teams for live debugging and faster resolution
• Recommend and validate fixes, patches, and configuration optimizations
• Support firmware rollouts aligned with operator and field requirements
• Work closely with QA, development teams, chipset vendors, and product teams to improve product quality
• Experience with RDK-B, OpenWRT, prpl-based gateways and mesh extenders
• Strong understanding of Wi-Fi and Mesh architectures, performance tuning, and interoperability
• Ability to recreate field issues and simulate real-world conditions for debugging
• Expertise in stability fixes, workaround deployment, and performance optimization

SME – GPON

• Hands-on experience with GPON-based OpenWRT gateways / ONT routers
• Strong knowledge of ITU-T G.984 / G.988 standards and OMCI management
• Experience in ONT/ONU provisioning, GEM port mapping, and service configuration
• Expertise in troubleshooting optical power, QoS, bandwidth, and interoperability issues
• Hands-on with OLT platforms (Huawei, Nokia) including provisioning and service setup
• Experience in CPE integration (PPPoE/IPoE, VLANs, TR-069/TR-369, diagnostics, performance tuning)
• Strong troubleshooting mindset with end-to-end system understanding
• Ability to connect field issues with engineering fixes
• Experience working across cross-functional teams and external partners
• Focus on improving customer experience through technical excellence
