Business Development & Account Manager
Tata Elxsi is among the world’s leading providers of design and technology services across industries, including automotive, broadcast, communications, healthcare, and transportation. Tata Elxsi works with leading OEMs and suppliers in the automotive and transportation industries for R&D, design, and product engineering services from architecture to launch and beyond.
We are looking for passionate and result-driven professionals to join our team as Business Development Managers.
Responsibilities:
Expansion:
- Target and secure new automotive/Transportation clients across the region.
- Develop and execute strategies to scale and expand business, ensuring sustained market presence.
Sales Leadership & Strategy:
- Design and lead high-impact sales campaigns to meet/exceed revenue targets.
- Utilize data-driven insights to optimize positioning, pricing, and regional performance.
Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with OEMs, Tier 1s, solution providers and partner ecosystem.
- Serve as the principal liaison for client negotiation, issue resolution, and service excellence.
Collaboration & Teamwork:
- Coordinate with marketing, product, finance, and operations teams.
- Closely engage with practice and delivery teams to fulfil client’s requirements.
Market Intelligence & Reporting:
- Monitor industry trends, competitor strategies, and regulatory changes.
- Provide accurate forecasts and prepare performance KPIs aligning with organization’s goals.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, life sciences, healthcare management, business administration, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
- 7-10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management in the healthcare and life sciences domain.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, including regulatory landscapes, emerging technologies, and market trends.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working in global markets and managing global accounts.
- Deep understanding of client dynamics, buying patterns, and the competitive landscape in the automotive industry.
- Proven experience selling Automotive Engineering Services in areas such as:
- Strong network and customer relationships at mid to executive levels.
- Experience in managing end-to-end sales cycles from lead generation to contracting.
- Successful track record in closing medium to large multi-year integrated deals.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce or equivalent).
