Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain software components for STB platforms.
• Perform feature development, integration, and bug fixing in Embedded Linux environments.
• Debug and resolve issues across application, middleware, and platform layers.
• Work on video streaming, OTT applications, DRM integration, and broadcast technologies.
• Collaborate with QA, hardware, and customer teams for product releases.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex software issues.
• Participate in code reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Technical Skills

Core Skills:

• Strong programming skills in C and C++.
• Good experience in Embedded Linux development and debugging.
• Understanding of STB architecture, middleware, and device integration.
• Knowledge of IPTV, DVB, OTT, MPEG-DASH, HLS streaming technologies.
• Experience with DRM solutions such as Widevine or PlayReady.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP networking, Wi-Fi, and multimedia technologies.
• Experience with Git, Jira, and Linux debugging tools.
• Understanding of CI/CD and Agile development practices.
• Set-Top Box Technologies:
• Strong understanding of STB architecture and video delivery systems.
• Experience with ATSC, DVB, IPTV, Hybrid STB, or Android TV platforms.
• Knowledge of MPEG-TS, MPEG-DASH, HLS, and adaptive streaming technologies.
• Familiarity with CAS/DRM technologies such as PlayReady, Widevine, and Verimatrix.
• Experience with OTT application integration, media frameworks and qualification
• Experience in video rendering pipelines and playback debugging

Video & Streaming:

• Understanding of video codecs (H.264, H.265, AV1)
• Familiarity with streaming protocols (HLS, DASH, RTP/RTSP)
