We are seeking dynamic individuals to fill various roles in our Design Engineers team. The Design Engineer will work along a team of high-performance design engineers and will be responsible for the Concept creation, Design, Integration, Release and Quality.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain engineering release and change documentation Lead design FMEA studies and GD&T  
• Maintain and develop Design Validation Plans (DVP), and Design Failure Mode Analysis (DFMEA) 
• Actively engage with Automotive OEM / Tier-I design engineers to collaborate on design projects for trading off cost, mass, joining methods, moulding and testing performance.  
• Propose and promote design improvement approaches including cost reduction and design optimization  
• Lead completion of PE owned APQP deliverables and support delivery of Phased PPAP for owned components on time  
• Manage the Design Verification Plan, liaise with the Core Testing and Validation team to ensure full compliance with risk prevention and detection controls.  
• Interpret CAE simulation results and integrate recommendations into product design  
• Collaborate with seating suppliers and support overall vehicle development milestones and prototype/production build events  
• Design of aV6 automotive component parts in CATIA V5 
• Acquire and evaluate industry, competitor and emerging technologies appropriate for the commodity and compatibility with design targets.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Thorough knowledge of engineering design & development concepts of automotive Seating system  
• Experience in design of Seat and seat components e.g. Cushion Frame, Back frame, Headrest, seat plastic and recliners and track  
• Relevant experience in Master Sections, Vehicle Integration, Vehicle packaging, Concept creation, assembly processes of various Seat parts.  
• Knowledge and understanding of Tooling and manufacturing processes 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities   
• Experience in delivering Production intent design and Drawings  
• Experience in Agile Methodologies added advantage.  

Essentials:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 4-7 years of experience in automotive seating system and subsystem design and development 
• Design experience in automotive industry   
• Experience in creating designs using CAD tools such as CATIAV5,V6, 3D  
• Good verbal and written Communication Skills  
• Strong communication and coordination skills to work effectively with cross functional and customer teams.
