HILS Engineer / Lead

Tata Elxsi works with leading OEMs and suppliers in the automotive & transportation industries for R&D, Design and Product Engineering Services, right from architecture to launch and beyond. We bring together technologies that accelerate development & testing of connected autonomous and electric cars & off-highway vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and maintain Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems and dSPACE environments for testing various automotive ECUs.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities within the testing process.
  • Utilize CI/CD tools like GitLab, Jenkins, and Jira to enhance and streamline test workflows.
  • Cascade test specifications from system-level to component-level and deliver test plans and designs accordingly.

Required Skill Set:

  • Experience in the Automotive/Transportation domain, preferably in Body and Powertrain systems.
  • Hands-on experience with HIL systems such as dSPACE, NI, Vector VT, etc.
  • Strong scripting skills in CAPL and Python.
  • Expertise in System Integration Testing and System Qualification Testing.
  • Proficiency with automotive communication protocols: CAN, LIN, Ethernet, UDS, OBD, NM.
  • Familiarity with ASPICE, quality management processes, and Functional Safety for testing.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor junior team members.
