Model Based Design Engineer (Plant Model development)

Tata Elxsi works with leading OEMs and suppliers in the automotive & transportation industries for R&D, Design and Product Engineering Services, right from architecture to launch and beyond. We bring together technologies that accelerate development & testing of connected autonomous and electric cars & off-highway vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 4+ years of experience in Automotive ECU software & hardware testing with strong defect identification skills
  • DSPACE with PROVETECH: TA along with Plant Modelling experience using MatLab/Simulink
  • Proficient in automotive communication protocols: CAN, LIN, UDS (ISO 14229), Ethernet
  • Strong understanding of Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC) and test processes
  • Experience in validation of Body & Comfort ECUs, including lighting systems
  • Hands-on expertise in HIL testing concepts with involvement in end-to-end HIL project lifecycle (1–3 projects)
  • Experience with IBM DOORS Next Gen, PREEVision, and tools like JIRA, SVN
  • Skilled in test case design, test specification creation, and peer reviews
  • Strong hands-on experience with dSPACE HIL, CANoe, and Vector VN hardware
  • Test automation expertise using AutomationDesk/ProveTech and scripting in CAPL, Python, VB, or C#
  • Experience in system-level validation, defect tracking, KPI reporting, and stakeholder management
