We are looking for an experienced Network Design Engineer with a strong service provider / telco background to support large-scale, carrier-grade network designs. If you know someone who’d be a great fit for this role, please refer them.

Mandatory In-Office Requirement:

• Office attendance is required twice per week.
• First and third Monday of every month are mandatory for in-person sprint planning sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Author and own High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents supporting Sky’s network.
• Gather and analyze business and technical requirements with multiple stakeholders.
• Design carrier-grade network solutions in line with Sky’s design standards.
• Own hardware and software selection, perform bug scrubs, and conduct security vulnerability assessments.
• Work closely with test and delivery teams to review test plans, defects, reports, MoPs, and change tickets.
• Drive platform improvements, enable automation, and implement DevOps-aligned solutions following a build-once, deploy-multiple approach.
• Influence network security feature roadmaps by collaborating with strategic vendors on release planning, budgets, and business case inputs.
• Ensure designs consider reliability, availability, longevity, and commercial viability.

Must-Have Skills:

• Prior experience working with a Service Provider / Telco / Carrier environment (mobile, security, or infrastructure).
• Strong expertise in designing carrier-grade networks compliant with enterprise and operator standards.
• Solid experience with service provider routing, switching, and security technologies.
• Deep understanding of reliability matrix, availability matrix, long-term design sustainability, and commercial aspects.
• Proven documentation skills for HLDs, LLDs, presentations, and technical diagrams.
• Excellent communication skills to highlight risks, obtain stakeholder sign-offs, escalate issues, and provide weekly project updates.
• Exposure to Next-Generation Firewalls, specifically FortiGate.
• Strong understanding of distributed hardware architecture with hands-on experience on Nokia 7750.
• Hands-on expertise in IS-IS, MPLS, RSVP-TE, Traffic Engineering, Hierarchical QoS, LACP, and BGP.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Working knowledge of Python and Git for automation and configuration management.
• Exposure to F5 LTM/GTM or other load-balancing technologies.
• Understanding of Mobile 5G technologies.
