We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer – Fortinet with a strong background in Telco/carrier-grade environments, covering mobile, security, and infrastructure networks. If you know someone who’d be a great fit for this role, please refer them.

Mandatory In-Office Requirement:

• Candidates must attend office every first and third Monday for sprint planning and collaboration sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather business and technical requirements by working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
• Create and own High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents for enterprise and mobile services.
• Own hardware and software selection, perform bug scrubs, and conduct security vulnerability assessments.
• Collaborate with test and delivery teams to review test plans, defects, reports, MoPs, and change tickets.
• Support vendor selection by providing technical inputs to RFPs and conducting technical evaluations and PoC testing.
• Drive network security feature roadmaps by working with strategic partners on release planning and budget inputs.
• Enable platform improvements, automation, and DevOps-aligned solutions to support build-once, deploy-multiple strategies.

Must-Have Skills:

• Fortinet NSE4 certification with strong hands-on experience on FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiManager.
• Solid understanding of firewall architecture and security concepts.
• Proven experience in authoring and owning HLD and LLD documentation.
• Strong expertise in firewall policy configuration, address objects, NAT, interfaces, zones, logging, and BGP.
• Good understanding of routing and switching with exposure to Nokia SROS (7750); alternatively, Cisco (CCNA/CCNP) with MPLS knowledge.
• Prior experience working in Telco/carrier environments spanning mobile, security, or infrastructure networks.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Exposure to Palo Alto firewalls, F5 LTM/GTM or other load-balancing solutions.
  Understanding of Mobile 5G technologies.
• Experience with OpenConfig and vendor-specific NETCONF-YANG models, JSON, and XML for firewall automation.
• Working knowledge of Python and Git for configuration management and automation development.
