System Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Health Management System Engineer to design, validate, and maintain vehicle health monitoring strategies for advanced automotive systems, ensuring diagnostics excellence, system reliability, safety compliance, and long-term robustness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform end-to-end vehicle fault analysis, debugging, and validation using automotive diagnostic tools such as Vector CANape, CANoe, CANalyzer, and diagnostic toolchains.
- Develop and validate diagnostic services based on ISO 14229 (UDS) protocols.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, and system teams to ensure accurate fault detection and reporting across ECU networks.
- Contribute to system safety analysis and design activities aligned with ISO 26262.
- Support development of fail-safe and fail-operational concepts across system, software, and hardware layers.
- Work closely with crossfunctional teams to integrate safety mechanisms into mechatronic architectures.
- Apply strong system engineering principles to address complex mechatronic interactions and cross-domain dependencies.
- Lead structured problem-solving initiatives using 8D, root cause analysis, and engineering containment strategies.
- Identify system robustness gaps through DFMEA, and guide teams toward design improvements.
- Develop and validate system-level fault detection, reaction, degradation strategies, and fault logging mechanisms.
- Ensure longterm system reliability through structured validation, robustness analysis, and design reviews.
- Evaluate hardware/software interactions, ensuring high integrity, performance, and durability.
- Work with teams using AUTOSAR Classic and POSIXbased OS/middleware architectures.
- Contribute to the definition of fault-handling workflows and software-hardware interaction models.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields.
- Strong hands-on experience with automotive diagnostic tools (CANape, CANoe, CANalyzer).
- Solid understanding of UDS (ISO 14229) diagnostic protocols.
- Experience with ISO 26262 and safety concept development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using 8D, RCA, DFMEA methodologies.
- Knowledge of AUTOSAR Classic and POSIX-based architectures.
- Good understanding of automotive hardware/software interaction and system reliability principles.
- Experience working in OEM/Tier1 automotive environments.
- Exposure to vehicle integration, test automation, or system simulation environments.
- Familiarity with other automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle technical complexities.
- Proactive mindset with a passion for problem-solving and systems thinking.
