Agentic AI-Driven Connected Mobility Showcase at MWC26 Barcelona
Tata Elxsi collaborated with Mplify, Colt, Google Cloud, Orange and Denso to demonstrate how agentic AI and programmable networks are redefining the future of connected and autonomous mobility at MWC26 Barcelona.
Vehicles increasingly rely on high-quality connectivity to support safety-critical coordination, navigation, video streaming, telemetry uploads, and over-the-air software updates. Stable low-latency connectivity is essential to support these requirements.
As part of the demonstration, a system was developed that employs agentic AI, combined with standardised network APIs, to enable automated orchestration of connectivity across wireless and wired networks. The AI-driven agents dynamically request customised mobile connectivity via the CAMARA-based Quality on Demand API.
At the heart of the showcase was Tata Elxsi’s real-world automotive use case, which illustrates how software-defined vehicles, autonomous systems, and next generation mobility platforms can dynamically orchestrate network performance across mobile, fixed, and cloud environments. The demonstration highlighted Tata Elxsi’s role in translating advanced network and AI capabilities into production-ready mobility architectures for OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
Bridging Vehicle Intelligence and Network Intelligence
Tata Elxsi’s contribution focuses on enabling vehicles and autonomous systems to express intent, while agentic AI systems ensure the network responds in real time with the right quality, latency, and reliability characteristics. By integrating vehicle software platforms with standardized CAMARA APIs exposed through the GSMA Open Gateway framework, the Tata Elxsi use case showed how connected vehicles can dynamically request Quality on Demand (QoD) based on driving context, safety conditions, and application needs.
This approach allows critical mobility scenarios such as vehicle to vehicle coordination, sensor fusion, perception sharing, and over the air updates to operate on predictable, performance aware connectivity, even across heterogeneous network domains.
The MWC26 demo showcased Tata Elxsi’s real-world QoD automotive use-case with:
- Orange’s mobile network and GSMA Open Gateway–enabled APIs
- Colt Technology Services’ Network as a Service (NaaS) and lifecycle service orchestration
- Google Cloud’s AI infrastructure and multi agent orchestration layer
- Mplify’s open APIs and cross domain service orchestration framework
Together, these capabilities form a closed-loop, AI driven system that can observe conditions, decide optimal actions, and dynamically adapt network behaviour - all in real time.
This demonstration reinforced our leadership in:
- Software defined and autonomous vehicle architectures
- AI driven mobility platforms
- Cross domain orchestration spanning vehicle, network, and cloud
- Industry adoption of open and standardized network APIs
Tata Elxsi is helping transform networks from static infrastructure into intelligent, adaptive partners for the software defined vehicle unlocking safer, scalable, and experience centric mobility for the AI era.
