As a response to the increasing needs, for real-time driver performance and fleet management, we at Tata Elxsi leveraged upon our expertise in designing a scalable real-time driver scoring and monitoring system capable of processing vast amounts of real-time data. This solution helps to provide actionable insights for fleet managers and insurers on use cases like track driver efficiency, safety, and engagement, all while improving road safety.

Additionally, the system needed to track driver engagement through streak analysis and provide actionable insights, all while ensuring top-notch data security and accuracy. This project aimed to revolutionise how driver performance is monitored and improved, setting new standards in the automotive industry.

Solution

Tata Elxsi proposed a comprehensive driver performance management solution incorporating advanced data collection and analysis techniques. The project involved developing a robust mechanism to collect user data and the Event Monitoring and Reporting technology (EMR) process its using for efficient analysis. The solution also included a ranking system based on the average efficiency, performance, and safety ratings. Furthermore, it tracked streaks by identifying consecutive days of driver engagement and quantified changes in driver ratings by comparing current and previous ratings.
